Prepare Early: Dental Appointments Amid Looming Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-Wong)

As the country braces once again for another powerful storm, Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-Wong) threatens to bring strong winds and widespread rains across Luzon and parts of Visayas. While we continue to recover from the aftermath of Typhoon Tino, this new weather disturbance reminds us to stay alert — and plan ahead.

What You Need to Know

According to the latest forecasts, Uwan is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday night or early Saturday, possibly intensifying into a Super Typhoon. It could make landfall over Northern to Central Luzon by Monday, November 10, with massive cloud bands large enough to cover most of the country.

Even areas outside the storm’s direct path may still experience heavy rains, flooding, and power interruptions — all of which can affect clinic operations and travel safety.

Dental Care Adjustments

In anticipation of the typhoon, our clinic advises all patients to:

  • Book or reschedule your dental appointments early.
If your visit falls between November 8–11, please contact us in advance to adjust your schedule.

  • Confirm before traveling.
Always check weather advisories and clinic updates before heading out, especially if heavy rains are forecast in your area.

  • Keep communication lines open.
We’ll update all confirmed patients via text, call, or social media if there are any changes in clinic hours.

Safety Comes First

Your oral health matters, but your safety always comes first. Typhoons can disrupt power supply, transportation, and communication — so we encourage everyone to secure your home, prepare emergency kits, and monitor updates from PAGASA and your local government.

Need Assistance or Rebooking?

Reach out to us early to advance or move your dental visit before the weather turns severe.

  • Advance appointments: Before Friday, Nov 8

Together, let’s stay safe and prepared as Typhoon Uwan approaches.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and post real-time updates on our page.
